Amatrol's Virtual Manufacturing Lab - Start New Labs, Expand Current Labs!

Manufacturing Virtual Labratory

Today’s highly skilled, technical jobs require a wide range of job-ready skills. Amatrol’s Virtual Manufacturing Lab teaches a broad array of critical technical skills.

Amatrol’s Virtual Manufacturing Lab is software based but teaches applied, hands-on skills at a fraction of the cost of a typical hardware based technology lab. Amatrol has recreated training equipment within virtual reality software. Students use these virtual learning systems to perform the same skills they would perform on actual training equipment.

Easy Technology Lab Start-Up
Amatrol's Virtual Manufacturing Lab is an ideal fit for manufacturing and other technical programs because it is problem-solving oriented and teaches technical skills in a wide range of industrially-relevant technologies. Amatrol’s virtual manufacturing lab is a turnkey solution that includes all the elements an instructor will need. The benefits of using a virtual reality software based lab include greatly reducing the initial cost to start a lab, less classroom space, classroom is mobile, and it enables students to extend their skills by developing their own applications.

Virtual Trainer, Real Skills!
Amatrol’s virtual manufacturing lab replicates hands-on equipment in such great detail that students will feel like they are using the actual equipment. Students will perform essentially the same tasks using virtual trainers that they would perform using equipment hardware.

The manufacturing lab contains both virtual trainers as well as functional software. Six of the eight learning systems contain virtual trainers for real skill development. The other two learning systems use functional software to create the skills: CNC machining and robotic simulation. Transition from theory to hands-on is a seamless process.

These skills enable students to work effectively in industrial situations. Students and workers are able to practice a skill safely until mastered.

Interactive Multimedia Curriculum Is The Key To Larning
Amatrol’s interactive multimedia curriculum is the backbone of VITC, providing students with learning content in a broad array of key technical skills. VITC multimedia curriculum uses a competency- based instructional design that teaches industry standard skills by incorporating an engaging combination of video, text, audio, 3D animation and interactive activities. Amatrol’s VITC lab includes 11 interactive learning systems, each covering a different technology application.

Electronic Portfolio Assessment
Amatrol’s SkillPro Advantage classroom management software automates classroom assessment so teachers can spend time teaching instead of recording data. SkillPro Advantage integrates three assessment methods into one package: Authentic Skills Assessment, Quiz-Based Assessment, Team-Based Project Assessment. Each student completes the course with an electronic portfolio that shows the knowledge they have gained and the skills they have mastered, as well as their overall class grade.
