Course Description
   
Mechanical Drives Instructor Training Course
Course Overview:  This course is designed for college, industry, vocational, and university level instructors who plan to teach basic concepts and skills in mechanical drives and either have no background in this field or a desire to become familiar with Amatrol's curriculum for this level. The course features hands-on familiarization with Amatrol's Mechanical Drives training system levels 1, 2, and 3 (models 950-ME1, 95-ME2, and 95-ME3) and curriculum in print-based format.
Amatrol's Mechanical Drives Training System
Students will learn basic principles of mechanical systems, component operation, system design, component installation and adjustment, troubleshooting and maintenance, and applications. Components include: fractional horsepower and heavy duty style components, 3 types of bushings, 7 types of couplings, single and multiple belt drives, single and multiple chain drives, silent chains, synchronous and HTD belt drives, spur gear drives, manual lubrication, plain bearings, roller bearings, seals, and gearboxes. Students will learn how to perform shaft alignment using various techniques. Attendees will learn through a combination of individualized, hands-on learning with mechanical trainers and group instruction of concepts and principles.
Pre-Requisites:   None.
Course Length: 36 Hours
Daily Schedule: Mon. thru Thurs. 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Fri 8:00am to 12:00 pm
Course Tuition: $895 (if not included with equipment purchase)
Administratrive Fee: $125 (includes hotel-to-plant shuttle, lunch, course materials)
