To acquire an understanding of the learning systems technology and class structure / management skills, Amatrol requires that students attend the prerequisite course, Project-Based Technology 1: Mastering Level 1 Learning Systems. Instructors new to project-based programs should plan to attend both of these classes.
Project-Based Technology 1: Project Experience is an immersion in building a Level 1 project just like a student team does. It features hands-on experience in using the learning systems required for the project. The course includes learning about building the project, technology application, team dynamics, fabrication techniques, team rotations, open ended design, the role of SMEs, and how to leverage SkillACE© in managing the class. Instructors will use the same materials used by students - the equipment, print-based curriculum, and interactive multimedia curriculum. This class gives instructors the team-based project experience that they will implement in their own classrooms.
