Solar Technology: Photovoltaic (PV) Systems Installation and Troubleshooting

Instructor's Course Overview:  This course is for college, industry, vocational, and university level instructors who plan to teach basic concepts and skills in solar PV technology application. Students who have no background in this field or desire to become familiar with Amatrol's curriculum for this level will gain significantly from the course. A good knowledge of electrical systems is strongly recommended as a basis for this course. The course features hands-on familiarization with Amatrol's photovoltaic training systems:

Amatrol's PV Troubleshooting Learning System

The course emphasizes both component and system level safety, operation, installation, adjustment, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Specific topics will include PV system and component sizing, energy conservation and demand, grid-tie systems, PC inverters, AC and DC solar PV systems, charge controllers, solar batteries, PV array connection, PV system and module performance, site planning, wire selection and sizing, and start-up and commissioning. Attendees will learn through a combination of individualized, hands-on learning with mechanical trainers and group instruction of concepts and principles.

Pre-Requisites:   Good understanding of basic electrical systems.
Course Length: 20 Hours
Daily Schedule: Mon.-Tue..8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Wed. 8:00am to 12:00 pm
Course Tuition: $995 (if not included with equipment purchase)
Administrative Fee: $125 (includes hotel-to-plant shuttle, lunch, course materials) The administrative fee is required for all class registrations.
Course Features: Includes course tuition, hotel-to-plant shuttle, lunch, course materials, and certificate of completion for 20 hours.
