The model 85-EP Electro-Pneumatics Learning System adds to the model 850-P1 Basic Pneumatics Learning System and model 85-IP Intermediate Pneumatics Learning System to teach electrical relay control of pneumatic systems and its industry applications. Students will learn industry-relevant skills related to these new topics including how to operate, install, analyze performance, and design electro-pneumatic systems.

The 85-EP provides students with the components to set up a variety of industrial relay control circuits using ladder diagrams and Boolean logic. Relay control is a fundamental building block in the study of automation because programmable controllers and solid-state controls also use the same programming methods.

The model 85-EP includes an Electrical Relay Control Module, Electrical Valve Module, student learning materials for both theory and lab, and teachers guide. This system uses industrial quality components to help students become better prepared for what they will encounter on the job and to withstand frequent student use.

Components are pre-mounted to panels and include quick disconnect fittings to enable students to quickly set up circuits by eliminating the need for mechanical mounting. These panels are designed to mount to a common table-top surface or the 850 workstation. They can be interfaced with other panels from the basic and intermediate level systems to replicate a variety of industrial applications.
