Amatrol’s Manufacturing Processes training products cover a wide range of vital industrial topics from the very basics like fasteners and gaskets to advanced areas like product finishing and welding. All of these products feature real-world components for the best hands-on skill-building training available and world-class curricula packed full of knowledge necessary to understand the theory of why things are done instead of just explaining how to do them.
Manufacturing Processes products align with a variety of Amatrol programs like advanced manufacturing, construction technology, and CNC machine operator. This area also aligns with our Certified Production Technician program. This program features a competency-based instructional design that teaches the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council’s (MSSC) nationally recognized standards.
Fasteners, Gaskets, Wiring Harness, and Production Assembly
Fasteners Learning System (950-FNS1): covers a wide variety of fasteners commonly found in manufactured products and processes, including applicable knowledge of bolt types, sizes and grades, as well as screws, washers, locking nut devices, pins, and keys.
Gaskets Learning System (950-GSS1): teaches about selecting, installing, and storing the many types of gaskets available that are vital in manufactured products and processes where air or liquid are involved.
Wiring Harness Learning System (950-WHS1): introduces topics like wire routing, common types of connectors and clips, harness installation, and troubleshooting.
Production Assembly Learning System (950-PAS1): covers industry-relevant skills including: how to identify and safely handle torque wrenches; operate both click-type and air impulse torque wrenches; properly sequence fittings; install, operate and maintain O-rings and lip seals; and more! This system offers expansions like split flange coupling, electric torque wrench, stall bar, and instrumented DC-electric torque wrench.
Print Reading 1 Learning System (950-PR1): covers industry-related skills including use of different reference coordinates, creating and editing drawings, using technical drawing views and dimensions, multi-view drawings, and developing schematic diagrams.
Contamination Learning System (950-CNS1): covers how to prevent contamination, as well as inspect / monitor for any unexpected problems through topics like the ISO cleanliness code, the importance of maintaining a clean facility and workstation, protective measures such as use of lubricants, how to detect contamination, and how to take corrective action should contamination occur.
CAD and CAM
Computer Aided Design 1 Learning System (96-CAD1B): introduces solid modeling by describing the function of solid modeling software and the features of solid modeling through topics like drawing planes, extrude cut features, fillets and chamfers, and revolved features. This learning system also offers an advanced expansion system, Computer Aided Design 2 (96-CAD2B).
Computer-Aided Manufacturing 1 Learning System (96-CAM1): covers the fundamentals of part design and development using Mastercam software. Mastercam allows learners to design and draw complex shapes and parts on a computer.
Welding Technology Learning System (950-WT1): teaches how to safely create an array of high quality weld types.
Surveying 1 Learning System (96-SV1): introduces the fundamentals of surveying, focusing on determining the terrestrial or three-dimensional position of points and the distances and angles between them. After completing this training system, learners will be able to operate surveying and mapping tools, including global positioning systems (GPS) associated with surveying.
Product Finishing Learning Systems (950-PFS1-4): covers vital industry skills in surface preparation and painting. Major topics covered by the 950-PFS systems include product finish inspection, sanding and scuffing, washing and pretreatment, masking and demasking, spray painting processes, electrostatic liquid spray painting, and electrostatic powder painting.
